Peace Energy Company Private Limited (PECPL) is a hydropower project development company established with the objective of developing, building, and operating hydroelectric projects in Nepal. PECPL is currently developing Upper Kabeli Hydropower Project (UKHPP) with an installed capacity of 28.1 MW in Kabeli Khola of Sirijangha and Sidingba Rural Municipalities in Taplejung District. The Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) between the company and Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) had been concluded on a take-or-pay basis for the project. The total energy generated by the project is expected to be approximately 169.75 GWh per year and the power generated from the project shall be evacuated to Amarpur Substation. The Required Commercial Operation Date of the project is on 01 January 2027.
